Dramatic footage captures the moment a dad confronted a man who was allegedly caught on CCTV taking upskirt photos of his 15-year-old daughter in a shopping centre.
Ismael Duarte was shopping at the store in Cypress on Tuesday with his wife and 15-year-old daughter when he became suspicious of a man acting strangely.
Duarte says he went into 'protect mode' when he saw the 29-year-old man named Jorge A. Ibarra Jr bend down, put his phone on camera mode, and allegedly angle it towards his daughter.
Surveillance footage at the store shows the moment Ibarra bends on his knees behind Duarte's daughter at the checkout lane and Duarte charges over to kick the phone out of his hand, sending it flying across the floor.
He then aggressively pushes Ibarra back when he tried to retrieve the phone.
Duarte claims he chased Ibarra out of the shop but managed to take a photo of his car's licence plate.
The suspect has since been arrested on suspicion of invasion of privacy.
Duarte said: "My daughter, and the girl that actually was getting their picture taken without her being known - that's what got me."
Police claim Ibarra committed the same crime at a different Target earlier in the day.
Duarte's wife Angelica said: "It's very disgusting. It's disgusting that he knew exactly what he was doing. If he went to different Targets to do this, how many other stores did he go to.
"So how much, if any, video did he get of my daughter? I'm not sure."
